FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem said: “Congratulations to all 137 drivers from 16 ASNs who participated in the 2022 MENA Karting Championship Nations Cup at the Muscat Speedway Circuit. Hosted by the Oman Automobile Association, this is a great stepping stone for young talented drivers to succeed in their motor sport career. I am proud to have been involved in the creation of this unique event, already in its third year, and I am confident that it will help grow the popularity of our sport at a regional level.”
OAA Managing Director Sulaiman Al Rawahi said: “It has been a pleasure hosting this competition for the past three years and this year we hope it to be one of the best. The drivers who have come here to compete have shown us all the potential they hold, and with each year, you see them better than before. The stakes are high and the competition gets tough, and in this kind of championship it is difficult to say who will take home the winning cup.”
The MENA Karting Championship Nations Cup concluded on 17 December under the patronage of General Dr. Mohamed Al-Rawas – Director of Traffic of the Oman Sultania Police, who crowned Lebanon’s National team as its Champion.
